Tippecanoe County, Indiana - Last week, Tippecanoe County Health Officer Dr. Jeremy Adler issued a new set of recommendations that would be put in place if the positivity rate for COVID-19 went above 10%. Saturday, the rate for the county was 10.2%, so those restrictions will become official.
The health order restrictions take effect Tuesday and will stay in place until the positivity rate drops below 10% and remains below that point for two weeks.
Bars 25% capacity indoors
100% capacity outdoors if social distancing of 6′ is possible and maintained
Tent structures must open on two sides for entrance and exit purposes
Restaurants 50% indoor capacity
100% capacity outdoors if social distancing of 6′ is possible and maintained
Tent structures must open on two sides for entrance and exit purposes
Retail business at 75% capacity
Cultural, entertainment and tourism venues at 50% capacity
Senior day centers at 50% capacity
Gyms and fitness centers at 50% capacity
These restrictions are in addition to the state mandates issued by Governor Eric Holcomb last week in response to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases across the state. Tippecanoe County is listed in the “orange zone” which means we are approaching high levels of community spread.
